These are the preliminary plans for my design. As I work on my model they will be updated. Included are the first, second and third plans. The first floor layout involves the lobby/reception, bathrooms, mech. rooms and access to outdoor pool. The second floor layout involves a multi-purpose basketball court, locker rooms and a running track that is open in the middle looking down on the pool. The third and final layout involves a batting cage/ pitching room, as well as a restaurant/ sports bar area for watching sports on t.v.

One of the problems with a tight site and the building type is trying to stack activities on top of each other and the upper floors having to use the size and shape of the ground floor. The drawings could use a scale bar as it is difficult to work out the size of the pool and the running track, are these standard competition sizes? Will you not have lots of environmental issues with the first floor track open to the pool below, temperature control, ventilation and condensation? Sections and site plan would also help to understand what is going on.
ReplyDeleteOkay I wall add the scale bar to the plans to make it easier to understand. The pool is sized at 36'x70', and for the view to doen below there is a glass floor that protects from the elements, but is not to be walked on.
