I really like the roof design because it does resemble waves but I feel like it gets lost with the big massing of the structure. Maybe by making the base more of a delicate structure, the roof will standout more.
The mass is too symmetrical in shape. The roof is nice, but the base doesn't compliment it in anyway. Even though they're attached, they feel separate. See if you can make the roof come out of the base somehow. That would make it more dynamic as a whole.
Your plans remind me of Barclays Center. It's nice that you're starting to develop a more realistic model or preliminary design but I think your hybrid model has more potential.
I'm not understanding your plans. Is the first floor what I would call the ground floor and if so why is half the plan missing? If this is the first floor where is the ground floor? The curculation is unclear too, are the fin like sides stairs up to the upper floor? What about lift access? I would like to see the plans in context and some sections to understand your thinking.

ReplyDeleteI really how the plans illustrate the shape of the building but I feel like the emotion is lost in elevation.
